Will Carey gave Strath Haven plenty of reason to celebrate Monday.
Carey delivered the walk-off single on a two-strike count with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, lifting the Panthers to 4-3 decision over Conestoga. The win pulled Strath Haven into a first-place tie with Conestoga.
The eighth inning started when Casey Rosier coaxed a leadoff walk, moved to second on a passed ball and then to third on a fielder’s choice.
Luke Mutz’s three-run triple in the fifth inning erased a 3-0 deficit. Anthony Viggiano went 2 for 3.
David Moore hurled 1 2/3 innings in relief to get the win
